aboutHello everyone,

I would like to introduce myself and share a little about my business. I have been helping people heal themselves since 1999, first as a personal trainer, then as a massage therapist and private yoga instructor. I focus on working with the body to achieve peace and balance.

My massage therapy training began at the McKinnon Massage Institute in Oakland, California in 2004 and I am proficient in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Acupressure, Chair Massage (Shiatsu), Reflexology and Trigger Point techniques. In 2012 I started training in CranioSacral bodywork with the Upledger Institute.  I continue to study the advances in this field.

The way the human body works fascinates me. My education began with my own weight training and study of personal training. As a graduate of University of California Santa Barbara with a BA in Psychology, I have a strong interest in the way the mind works and am naturally attracted to meditation and an understanding of the powerful connections between body and mind. Understanding these connections in my own practice has led to my practice of yoga and to a study of massage therapy as I developed a more complete understanding of the skills needed in working with the body.

My journey in yoga began in 2003 and continues as I practice at many different studios around the Bay Area exploring diverse styles. I resonated most with the Anusara style of yoga and completed my teacher training under the instruction of Sianna Sherman & Noah Maze finishing in early 2008.

I am excited to share what I have learned with all of you. Combining a regular yoga practice with massage will create even more openness, awareness, ease, flexibility and strength within your body.

Many Blessings,
Kelly Vogel, CMT
